Honoring Dr. Olusola A. Oyemade

Mistress of Ceremonies, Jackie Christie – Star of VH1 Hit Reality Series BASKETBALL WIVES

 The Special Angels Foundation is proud to announce their 1st Annual Fundraising Gala, Supporting Families With Special Needs, honoring Dr. Olusola A. Oyemade. This remarkable event will take place at the “Imagine That Victorian Room”, located at 1318 West 9th Street, Upland, CA on Saturday, January 26, 2019, from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Reality television personality, Jackie Christie; star of VH1 hit show; Basketball Wives will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.

The Special Angels Foundation selected Dr. Oyemade because of his distinguished leadership and service to the Inland Empire communities. Dr. Oyemade is also being honored for his dedication to improving population health through physician-led and patient-centered, integrated healthcare, a board certified Pediatrician who has dedicated over 40 years of practice to give families a secure environment where they can get treated for common illnesses such as colds and the flu.  Dr. Oyemade graduated from University Of Edinburgh, Scotland. He is board-certified in pediatrics, and he served his fellowship in pediatric nephrology at Georgetown University. In addition, Dr. Oyemade holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Oyemade is not just a pediatrician but is also a nephrology specialist who caters to the health of kidneys.

Dr. Oyemade is the Recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award, 2008, the Compassionate Doctor Recognition, 2009–2012 and the 2013 Humanitarian Health Services, San Antonio Community Hospital, Achievement.

The Special Foundation 1st Annual Fundraising Gala will be hosted by reality television personality, Jackie Christie; star of VH1 hit show; Basketball Wives. She is the wife of retired National Basketball Association player, Doug Christie. Mrs. Christie is an entrepreneur and uber-dramatic fashion enthusiast who has been a model and designer in the past. Currently, with her stint on reality TV, a famous cosmetics line, Slayed Cosmetics and a socialite image, in the entertainment industry.

The Proceeds from Special Angels Foundation Gala will sustain and expand assistance to parents that struggle with the costs of raising a special needs child.  Statistics show that 18% of American children between the ages of 3 and 17 have a developmental disability.  The Special Angels Foundation was birthed from the belief that early intervention is critical in helping children with developmental disabilities reach their full potential.

The Special Angeles Foundation, Inc. is comprised of a team of volunteer board members who have caught the vision and understand the need of these families raising children with special needs.

About Special Angles Foundation Local Non-Profit

Special Angels Foundation, Inc. is a federally approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to provide support to families raising children with special needs.  Special Angels Foundation, Inc. provides mini-grants up to $1,000 to families of special needs’ children to purchase or assist in purchasing special equipment or have access to therapy.  We also provide client referrals to a variety of partner organizations health care professional and support services.  Special Angels Foundation seeks to empower families who are raising children with special needs with financial and resources assistance.
